We meet people everyday who have great merchandise they want to sell but can't find an auctioneer that is interested in selling just a couple of items. Thats why Jody Kalmbach Auctioneers has added online auctions to their list of services.
We have been selling for people on Ebay since 2002. We have sold everything from wine corks to vacuum cleaners to medical equipment. During the past 5 years we have learned that not every item is a great ebay item. Some items still do better in a live auction enviroment. We can help you make this decision based on our past experiences. A great example of this would be a Dick and Jane Reader VS. an Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner. Our experience has shown us that the price of a Dick and Jane reader is driven down on Ebay by the number of readers that are listed, so the live auction can be a better option for this type of item. The electrolux vaccum cleaner would almost be given away at a live auction where on Ebay 25-50% of the original value can be captured if in good clean working condition. We see it everyday.
Heres how it works for a basic listing-
-To qualify for online services the item must have an approximate value of $50.00.
-We list your item on Ebay with a detailed description and a high quality digital photo for a $1.00 listing fee.
-A basic listing will have a .99 cent start price to encourage bidding and will run for 5-7 days. All online correspondence will be handled by our auction team in regards to your item.
-Upon the auction closing we will invoice the buyer and handle the shipping arrangements for your item.
-We will deduct ebay fees and our commission from the final price and remit a check to the seller within 7 days of the auction closing.
-The commission rate varies based on the final price of the item. For more information about our commission rate schedule, call us at 512-924-3204.
-Additional listing options such as reserve price listings and featured auction listings are available for an additional fee. Call for more information.
