How does it work?
It is very easy to consign your items to an online auction. We accept quality consignments by appointment. Call 979-542-7040 for scheduling.
What can I bring?

What does it cost to sell my items?
Couchbidder.com uses a sliding commission scale. This means commission rates are determined by the individual final selling price of each item. Call the auction house at 512-924-3204 to discuss specific commission questions.
When will my items be sold?
As soon as possible. We are typically a first in first out auction house, but certain exceptions do apply. Call the auction for more information.
What type of auctions do you offer?
We only do online auctions.
When will I be paid for items I sell?
Consignor checks are mailed within 14 business days after the last scheduled pickup day. Call 979-542-7040 for specific questions.
Can I place a reserved price on at item?
We discourage reserve prices. If we agree to allow a reserve price on an item, the item will be charged full commission based on the final gavel price if the items does not sell.
Can I bid on my own items?
Simple answer-NO!
How do you promote your auctions?
We promote our auctions through our website, emails, direct mailings, radio ads, newspaper ads, AuctionZip, and more depending on the type of auction.
Our online run for a minimum of 7 days.
--NEW LATE PICKUP POLICIES--
--EFFECTIVE STARTING JANUARY 9TH--
NEW 2012 LATE PICKUP POLICY - Whistle-Stop Auction Facility (Both Locations)
Buyers unable to pick there items up on the scheduled pick-up date will be charged 10% of the total invoice price with a $15.00 minimum. If a buyer purchases large items (ex. refrigerators, couches, bedroom furniture, other large pieces) these items will be acessed an additional per item fee. These fees are posted on our website under the late pickup tab. All buyers that fail to attend pickup will be charged these charges. We will no longer move items to the Whistle-Stop Antiques retail location for late pickup. In addition, your next opportunity to pick your late items up will be the next scheduled event date at the auction house. We will no longer schedule special pickup times during the week.
NEW 2012 LATE PICKUP POLICY - Onsite Auctions
Late pickup will no longer be offered for onsite auctions. If you can not attend pickup for an onsite auction, please see below for delivery options. Items not picked up at onsite auctions will be considered abandoned and will be left on site. IF THE SELLER REQUIRES IT TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES AND WE HAVE TO DISPOSE OF IT, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $100.00 DISPOSAL FEE! NO EXCEPTIONS!
NEW 2012 LATE PICKUP POLICY - Local Delivery
Call 512-924-3204 to get a delivery quote on your items and schedule your delivery. Delivery can be made to your residence or the auction house for late pickup. Delivery rates vary according to location and volume, and are provided by a 3rd party individual, not by Jody Kalmbach Auctioneers.
NEW 2012 LATE PICKUP POLICY - Shipping
We will be happy to ship your items to you from any location. In addition to shipping charges, buyers will be charged a $5.00 handling fee for any standard USPS box, or $10.00 for our largest standard shipping box which measures 12 X 15 X 23. If your item will not fit in our large box, please call 512-924-3204 prior to bidding, to insure that the item qualifies for shipping. If you purchase an item that does not qualify for our shipping, it will be your responsibility to arrange shipping with a 3rd party shipper, at your expense!
EW 2012 LATE PICKUP POLICY - Out-of-State Delivery
Out of state delivery options will still be offered from any auction that is conducted on COUCHBIDDER.COM. The minimum delivery fee for dropoff at any of our listed "out of state" drop-off locations is $50.00 and does vary according to size and volume of merchandise. Dropoff times and dates are very fluid and often change depending on our northern pickup schedule. Please call 512-924-3204 for more information and approximate upcoming delivery times.
