Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

It is very easy to consign your items to an auction.  We accept quality consignments every Monday by appointment.

What can I bring?

Almost anything that is old!  We accept quality antique consignments and some newer furniture or decorator items.

What does it cost to sell my items?

Commission rates are determined by the individual final selling price of each item.  The average cost of selling an item with a final selling price ranging between $5.oo and $100.00 is about 20%-25%.  Discounted commission rates are offered for items that qualify for our "1st Saturday Quality Antique Auction".  Qualifying items that meet the minimum value will be charged 5%-15% depending on final selling price.  Call the auction house at 512-924-3204 to discuss specific commission questions.

When will my items be sold?

That depends what type of items you bring us.  We offer 3 auctions every month to accomodate different types of items.

What type of auctions do you offer?

The first auction is typically the first Saturday of every month and is our "Quality Antique Auction.  Discounted commission rates are offered for big ticket items during this auction.  We offer the cheapest commission rate in the industry for big ticket items at this auction.

The 2nd auction is our weeknight smalls auction that usually takes place on the 2nd Friday night of the month.  This auction is geared toward dealers looking for $5.00 to $10.00 items and box lots.   This auction allows consignors to sale almost anything of value they wish to consign.  We offer free dinner at this auction to promote buyer attendance.

The 3rd auction is our general antique auction.  Sellers can consign any antique item with a value of $5.00 or more at this auction.  We do not sell box lots at this auction so it must be single items.  Typically this auction consist of many great antique items and furniture that does not meet the minimum value for the "First Saturdays Auction".  Quality of consigned items must be good for this auction and we do not except broken or general merchandise for this auction.

We allow reserves on some items depending on the value of the item and the reality of achieving the reserve price requested by the seller at auction.  Reserved items will be charged a 15% no sale fee if the items does not sell.

Can I bid on my own items?
Simple answer-NO!
